Our client, a part of one of the world’s largest suppliers of auto parts, has commissioned Sterling St. James, LLC to source, screen and qualify candidates for this important expansion position of human resources coordinator, in a Tier 1 component manufacturer for the local automotive producers. 

To assist the Human Resources Manager with all aspects of employee training, including technical, health & safety and leadership hands-on shop floor training.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Human Resources systems and policies are consistently applied based on principles of company’s charter, and are in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.
  • Schedule participants for training in technical, health and safety, leadership, hands on shop floor, environmental and management courses.
  • Maintain schedules of instructors for in-house and off-site training.
  • Create and update course material.
  • Produce training manuals for all course participants.
  • Order training material from outside suppliers.
  • Organize and summarize course evaluations.
  • Issue certificates to all course participants.
  • Develop and coordinate issuance of companies Training Calendar and updates.
  • Maintain a library of outside training providers.
  • Assist internal and external training stall with general administration of training functions.
  • Coordinate training function, booking of instructors, training rooms, catering service, travel arrangements, etc.
  • Develop and present training on selected Technical, hands on shop floor, and management training courses.
  • Research, anticipate, develop, schedule, evaluate and document all training required to satisfy customers.
  • Provide management with action plans regarding training and updates on programs and proposals.
  • Conduct in-house training as required and assist supervisors in developing job training procedures, operating instructions and communication and training skills.
  • Conduct new employee orientations including tours and preliminary safety training.
  • Document budget allocations and proposed expenditures related to training and show all returns on investments.
  • Develop related policies and procedures for division operating manual.
  • Responsible for adhering to regulations under OSHA.
  • Provide counsel and support to Human Resources Manager.
  • Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example.
  • Promote and facilitate Open Door process and Fair Treatment.
  • Participate in Continual Improvement activities.
  • Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies.
  • Follows and supports companies systems and the companies operating principles.
  • Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Post-secondary education in business, human resources or related field.
  • Three years' experience in human resources field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
